ISTD Grade 3
About The Course
After the Grade 2 certification, it’s time for you to prepare for ISTD Grade 3. The student learns the Allarippu and almost all adavus used in complex choreography. Our teachers also introduce the student to Kauthuvam.
Our expert teachers will help you learn technical pieces and perform creative exercises. To ace the exam, we also prepare you with theoretical concepts from Abhinaya Darpana and Mythology.
Prerequisites
- 3+ year of dancing experience
- Ability to sing alankarams and the items learnt in class

- Rhythm And Tāla - Trikala adavu solkattu recitation, Technical Pieces Like The Allarippu, Kauthuvam, Knowledge Of Kuraippu
- Music - Ability To Sing Alankarams And The Items Danced
- Aḍavus - Advanced adavus, candidates will be judge on variety and clarity of movements in different speeds
- Nritta - Advanced Adavus, Technical Pieces Like The Allarippu, Kauthuvam, Knowledge Of Kuraippu
- Abhinaya / Nritya - Abhinaya in Kauthuvam
- Creative Exercise - Adavus in any Jaathi
- Safe Dance Practice - Yoga as prescribed for the grade by ISTD
- Theory - Theory From Abhinaya Darpana including viniyoga hastas, Patraprana shlokas and four types of Abhinaya
- File - Essays On Mythology And Bharathanatyam
