Rockschool Electronic Keyboard Grade 2

Typically 6-8 months, with the exact pace depending on your practice consistency and class frequency — most students take two classes a week. Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, in a personal 1-on-1 or family group format.

The Rockschool exam typically involves performance pieces and technical exercises, with ear tests and general musicianship questions at the higher grades. This course covers all of it — your teacher works through the syllabus with you and runs mock assessments so nothing in the exam room comes as a surprise.

Yes — your teacher sees your hands and posture on camera and corrects technique in real time, which is exactly what this level needs. Spardha students complete graded keyboard and piano exams trained entirely online.

No — a digital keyboard with touch-sensitive keys (61 or more) is enough at this stage, and many students learn on one throughout. If you are considering an upgrade, your teacher will tell you honestly when weighted keys would actually help your progress.

Yes — performing is a core part of the Spardha journey. We organise live online open mics, the Spardha Idol competition, and offline open mic events as well, and through our partnership with Radio Mirchi, students also get opportunities to perform on radio. Regular performance builds stage confidence that classes alone cannot.

It is the Intermediate stage of Spardha's Electronic Keyboard pathway, which runs from Foundation through Advanced with certifications at each step. When you complete it, your teacher maps your next course based on how you are progressing and what you want from your music.
