About The Course
Madhyama Prathama, a level 4 exam is perfect for intermediate level singers or who are learning for 3 years. The course dives into the concept of Bada Khayal, Vilambit Singing. Besides, students also learn 7-9 different ragas. This exam involves both Practical and Theory paper.

- Introduction to Vilambit and Bada Khayal Forms - Raag Baageshri, Bihag, Yaman, Bhoop
- Singing and Culture of Dhrupad - Dhamaar
- Different forms of singing like Tarana
- Concept of Swar Vistaar
- Chota Khayal of Raag Jonpuri, Rag Malkauns, Rag Hamir, Rag Patdeep, Rag Tilang, Rag Deskar, Rag Kalingada etc
- Music Theory and Notation Writing
Learning Outcomes You Can Expect
- Do Swar Vistaar in Bada Khayal along with Aalap and Taans
- Demonstrate Ekpat, Dupat, Chaupat of different Taals
- Sing Dhrupad Dhamar
- Proficiency in singing Chota Khayal of at least 5-6 Ragas
- Write bandishes in Bhatkhande/Paluskar format
- Distinguish between the 9-10 ragas mentioned
